About The Position

Requirements

• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have and maintain a valid state driver's license and a good driving record.
• Drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Adhere to strict quality standards without variance.
• Read and interpret SDS manuals.
• Have knowledge of hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and ratchets.
• Have a good sense of balance and maintain three points of contact.
• Pass the AWC Safe Driving and Rail Safety tests with at least 80% accuracy.
• Work in tight spaces when loading vehicles and at heights approximately 15 feet above the ground.
• Stand, walk, and work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work both indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
• Work in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles onto railcars.
• Secure vehicles on railcars using chocks or chains.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and report any damage to a lead, supervisor, or manager.
• Train new employees and temporary workers.
• Maintain positive workplace behavior and communicate appropriately with customers, vendors, coworkers, and management.
• Adapt productively to changes and handle other essential tasks or duties as assigned.
• Maintain good and regular attendance.
