Quality Analyst Engineer - Senior

About The Position
Intermountain Health is hiring a senior Quality Analyst Engineer to perform quality analysis and testing for common and complex software projects. The role includes developing and maintaining test plans, test cases, automation scripts, database queries, test harnesses, and testing frameworks; executing tests and documenting defects; reviewing requirements; and communicating product quality, process, and release-risk findings to stakeholders. The engineer also supports project planning, issue resolution, stakeholder communications, and training materials, and develops an in-depth understanding of assigned systems’ technical and functional architecture, security, and compliance requirements. The position performs API testing with Postman and ReadyAPI to validate REST, SOAP, and JMS services, and configures and modifies telehealth subscriptions while validating telehealth services. It is hybrid, with in-person attendance required once per quarter, and may be performed remotely from U.S. states other than California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. The position is permanent direct hire; contract applications will not be considered. The usual schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, for 40 hours weekly. Applicants are subject to drug screening and background checks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent foreign education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics Engineering.
- Five years of post-degree progressive experience.
- Knowledge of manual and automation testing in retail, insurance, and healthcare domains.
- Knowledge of test-case development, test-plan reviews, and repeatable test procedures for complex distributed systems in healthcare domains.
- Knowledge of integration testing of third-party systems.
- Knowledge of quality assurance testing and engineering on an electronic medical record platform, such as Cerner.
- Knowledge of healthcare workflows involving orders, physicians, nursing, and surgery.
- Knowledge of neural networks, deep learning, Scikit-Learn, NumPy, and SciPy.
- Knowledge of SOAP, ReadyAPI, Postman, and Katalon.
- Knowledge of Bugzilla, HP ALM and Quality Center, TestNG, and IBM ClearQuest.
- Knowledge of SQL Explorer, Advanced Query Tool (AQT), and MongoDB.
- Knowledge of JUnit, Selenium, Groovy, WinRunner, QuickTest Professional, Appium, and Perfecto.
- Knowledge of Bitbucket, SourceTree, Cucumber, Bamboo, and GitHub.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach associate- and staff-level employees on quality analysis.
- Create and maintain software test plans and test cases using approved standards, processes, and tools for common and complex projects.
- Execute software test cases and document defects using approved standards, processes, and tools.
- Collaborate in requirements development and review.
- Report results and make recommendations to business stakeholders about product quality, software development lifecycle processes, and the risk of promoting products for use.
- Participate in creating and managing project plans.
- Meet agreed deadlines and escalate issues, concerns, and barriers to project leaders.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the technical and functional architecture, security, and compliance requirements of assigned software systems and integrations.
- Investigate and assist in resolving issues, incidents, and problems, collaborating with peers, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Develop training and knowledge-based materials for peers and other Information Security team members.
- Create and maintain complex database queries and automation scripts for complex projects.
- Participate in creating test harnesses and automation and performance testing frameworks.
- Independently develop and implement communication plans for internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Perform API testing with Postman and ReadyAPI to validate REST, SOAP, and JMS services.
- Configure and modify telehealth subscriptions and validate telehealth services.
