Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines that employ over 5,000 people in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. EVR is proud to be part of the Glencore Group, contributing to a global portfolio of operations with a history that dates back more than 100 years in Canada. Reporting to the Drill and Blast Engineer, Mine Engineering, the Drill and Blast Technician is responsible for designing blast patterns, generating loading instructions, and determining blast timing in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner. The position follows a 4x4 day shift schedule. To be successful, we require someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who works well as an individual and as a team player.
