Lyra is seeking contract nurse practitioners (NPs) or certified physician assistants (PA-C) who are dedicated to whole-person, whole-family mental health care and wish to work within a connected network to deliver easily accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality mental health care. As a contract provider, you will offer evidence-based treatment through intake and regular follow-up appointments, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide medication management. Lyra facilitates easy referrals to therapy and coaching services to complement your care. You will serve individuals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, needs, and abilities, with a commitment to culturally-responsive care that acknowledges the impact of cultural background on each person’s care experience. Lyra is currently prioritizing hiring in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE with preference for Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or other academic psychiatry certificate program completion, including a Doctor of Medical Science with Psychiatry concentration
  • Unrestricted state license
  • A minimum of 2 years in practice
  • Full-time resident of the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs with an active DEA license
  • Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience with minors
  • Preference for providers who offer in-person options

Responsibilities

  • Practice comprehensive mental health medication management via an intake appointment and regular follow-up appointments
  • Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and longitudinal medication treatment
  • Construct patient-centered treatment plans, document treatment recommendations, message patients, and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
  • Experience and commitment to providing safe, evidence-based medication treatment that follows clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement based care, patient-centered care, paying close attention, medication minimizing risks, and maximizing benefits)
