Alta Mental Health Solutions is looking for a Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and provide mental health treatment in our hybrid outpatient setting. Requirements

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Maryland
  • DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience in outpatient psychiatry, mental health, or behavioral health preferred
  • Strong assessment and psychopharmacology skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation habits

Nice To Haves

  • Foreign Language a plus with pay differential: Spanish, French, and Amharic.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, and diagnostic assessments.
  • Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Adjust psychotropic medications according to clinical response.
  • Work together with therapists and clinical staff within a coordinated care model.
  • Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based psychiatric and mental health services.
