About The Position
Find your calling at Mercy! Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral, standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision to patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians. General supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
- Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
- BLS certified.
- Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
Nice To Haves
- Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
- Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Performs objective assessments.
- Develops comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
- Provides direct supervision to patients.
- Provides indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
- Provides general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
