About The Position
The Pre Analytics Manager is responsible for employment-related activities, including recruitment and performance evaluations, and oversees budgets, fiscal performance, and quality assurance for pre-analytic areas of the laboratory. The role manages department personnel and operations, monitors quality and financial performance, prepares annual operating and capital budgets, and ensures compliance with applicable health regulations, CAP guidelines, quality management requirements, and customer service standards. The caregiver works 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of clinical laboratory management or supervisory experience, plus 5 years of laboratory experience; OR an associate’s degree, 4 years of supervisory or leadership experience, and 5 years of related experience.
Nice To Haves
- MLT or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) ASCP eligibility.
- Phlebotomy management or supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage department personnel and operations, including staffing, training, workflow analysis, and performance management.
- Monitor quality and financial performance and justify departmental expenses and revenue.
- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
- Ensure compliance with government health regulations, CAP guidelines, quality management program requirements, and customer service standards.
- Develop and maintain performance improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements and cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure operational problems are resolved and remedial actions are taken when necessary.
- Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistent application of quality standards, procedures, and policies.
- Maintain instruments and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Develop, monitor, and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills, and improve scope of service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
