About The Position

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire or thereafter.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Nice To Haves

• Be an immunizing pharmacist meeting state requirements, or be scheduled to become an immunizer in the next set of training classes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems.
• Numerical and financial aptitude.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Support the success of assigned pharmacies by executing strategy and motivating and inspiring staff while serving as pharmacist-on-duty.
• Set priorities, complete daily tasks, support the team, and build rapport with customers and associates.
• Provide high-quality pharmacy service, including counseling, personalized patient relationships, customer loyalty efforts, and pharmacist-led clinical services.
• Promote team accountability and encourage the team to do the right thing.
• Support new pharmacy initiatives at assigned locations.
• Manage team performance, including prescription promised times, by assigning tasks and ensuring complex operational activities are completed efficiently when the pharmacist-in-charge is absent.
• Make sound business decisions using best practices while serving as pharmacist-on-duty.
• Serve as an expert in the pharmacy technology system and its use for routine and complex prescription processing.
• Mentor others on pharmacy best practices to maximize sales, minimize shrink, and meet customers’ needs, including use of auto refill and Sync Your Refills programs.
• Advance clinical initiatives, including MTM and immunizations.
• Maintain a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
