About The Position
The Pathologist Assistant assists the pathologist in providing anatomic pathology services. The role examines and prepares human surgical and biopsy specimens and helps perform postmortem examinations. The position is with the team at St. Jude Medical Center, whose culture emphasizes patient-focused, whole-person care, understanding, commitment, mutual respect, and empowering caregivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, or a related field.
- Master's degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
- Upon hire, Pathologists' Assistant certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pathologist in providing anatomic pathology services.
- Examine and prepare human surgical and biopsy specimens.
- Help perform postmortem examinations.
