About The Position
Under general supervision of the Assistant City Manager, the Parking Attendant may issue citations for parking violations and collects monies for daily/monthly parkers. This role also involves tasks such as shoveling snow, cutting grass, and garage upkeep.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic and bookkeeping skills
- Skill in communication and customer service
- Skill in independent judgment and decision making
- Ability to walk up to 6-7 hours per day
- Ability to stand, kneel, or squat for an extended period
- Ability to write legibly
Responsibilities
- Open and/or closing garage
- Collecting money and tickets, making change if needed
- Selling monthly tags
- Using debit/credit card machine
- Completing paperwork for daily tickets and monthly parkers
- Putting holds on vehicles at the end of shift
- Walking through garage and stairwells several times a day
- Working events in different weather conditions
- Shoveling snow
- Cutting grass
- Garage upkeep
