Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree
- Two (2) years recent experience in current clinical specialty (i.e., critical care, surgical services, diabetes education, radiology, etc.)
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates daily activities and distribution of work in area during scheduled shift.
- Acts as a professional educator and resource for new employees, demonstrating clinical expertise and competence.
- Sets priorities based on the situation at hand.
- Provides direct patient care.
- Performs shift supervision/management (charge).
- Performs education (preceptor) roles.
- Responsible for a unit during a clinical shift.
