The Chief Perfusionist is a uniquely and formally trained allied health professional, educated in the field of extracorporeal science, whose scope of practice expressly includes the utilization of extracorporeal devices. In accordance with Franciscan Alliance values, the Chief Perfusionist also possesses a leadership-oriented vision commensurate with the goal of providing departmental direction and clinical management to a group of perfusion professionals at multiple hospitals.
