About The Position

Bennion Lambourne Orthodontics in Billings, MT is looking for a reliable, motivated, and hardworking orthodontic assistant to join a growing practice! Find your career with us! Have you been interested in dental or orthodontic assisting, but don’t have the experience yet? Talk to us about our in-office training! Bringing resumes into our Westend location, 152 S 32nd St W, Suite A, Billings, MT 59102 is encouraged. This position is full-time (32-40 hours), Monday through Friday, with general hours of need being from 7 am to 5 pm. Benefits: 401K, PTO, Health, Dental, Vision Insurance available, as well as other options.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bending, stooping, walking, and standing for long periods at a time.
  • Great manual dexterity and able to use hands for fine motor movements throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Orthodontic assisting experience preferred
  • Experience in a professional setting with direct patient interaction preferred, but not required
  • Has one to three years experience in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Has a reputation for excellent relations with patients and all office staff.
  • Has worked effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to improvise in a busy work environment.
  • Interested in learning about orthodontics.
  • Self-motivated, especially under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Able to effectively manage emotions in the workplace.
  • Communicates effectively and efficiently, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Recognizes when help is needed and asks for help.

Responsibilities

  • Provides continual and exceptional customer service for all patients, making the patient the first priority.
  • Practices constant cleanliness throughout the office and sterilizes when not assisting.
  • Utilizes all downtime.
  • Arrives on time for all shifts.
  • Follows the training compact and takes responsibility for his or her training.
  • Assists all doctors in procedures, carrying out procedures in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Continues to learn about the office policies, procedures, and flow.
  • Keeps patients safe during their time in the office.
  • Reviews company email and communication board each shift for updates.
  • Follows the team member guidelines.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance.
  • Reasonable computer and typing skills with the ability to learn new programs as required.
  • Good eyesight (what we work with is small!).
