About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous work experience in a similar production or manufacturing position.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and good knowledge of mechanical devices.
• Ability to multitask.
• Flexibility with schedule, including shift work.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multifunctional team.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficiency in English, including the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent; and draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a precondition of employment.
• Must be able to meet the described physical demands, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Arrange machines at the beginning of production runs and test them before production to confirm they are in good condition.
• Clean machine parts after each production run.
• Enter machine and equipment operating information, including speed, size, and shape, before the production line begins.
• Load production materials into the appropriate parts of machines and equipment.
• Calibrate and recalibrate machines before and after production runs.
• Follow client job specifications and ensure work meets quality requirements.
• Regularly update the Production Supervisor on production activity and progress.
• Assist with equipment setup, modifications, and machine repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting production-line failures as directed by the Mechanic.
• Help maintain equipment logs and perform preventive equipment maintenance.
• Replenish and change labels.
• Bring liquid to filling lines and ensure the correct liquid size is set up for each line.
• Lubricate machinery and replace or replenish capping wheels, video jet ink and make-up fluid, tapes, and labels.
• Adjust conveyors and address machine spills and jams.
• Inspect the work area and ensure production lines are free of obstructions or anything that could delay production.
• Closely monitor machines and equipment for signs of malfunction that could affect work quality, and address issues promptly.
• Promote compliance with company policies and procedures, quality standards, cGMP, and safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate as required in safety, GMP, and other company training sessions.
