About The Position

Apex Tool Group is seeking a Machinist for stamping operations to join its Dayton, Ohio Operations Team. The role operates stamping equipment to produce quality parts while meeting company productivity targets. It also involves making process adjustments, interpreting engineering product drawings, completing quality and production documentation, using inspection methods, and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Other duties may be assigned by the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High regard for safety.
• Ability to regularly stand continually; frequently walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms including overhead, push or pull, and talk or hear; and occasionally sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping equipment to produce quality parts while meeting company productivity targets.
• Perform process adjustments as required.
• Read and interpret engineering product drawings.
• Complete required quality and production documentation.
• Use required inspection methods.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and equipment, and follow plant safety rules and policies.
