About The Position
Join the outpatient rehabilitation team at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri, as an Occupational Therapist. Help patients regain independence in daily life through one-on-one care for people recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Treatment focuses on functional abilities, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living (ADLs). The role is suitable for experienced occupational therapists and new graduates interested in patient-centered care and a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient setting. This is a part-time position with day-shift availability and 8-hour shifts. The posting also lists the shift as variable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current state Occupational Therapy certification or license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate.
Nice To Haves
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA, and OTAC.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outpatient occupational therapy treatments focused on ADLs, fine motor skills, and upper extremity function.
- Provide therapeutic activities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training.
- Educate patients on adaptive techniques and home exercise programs (HEP).
- Document care and monitor patient progress in the EMR (Epic).
- Support orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and clinical guidelines.
