About The Position

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to work at Pivot at The Colonnades at Reflection Bay in Pearland, Texas, floating between Colonnades and Laurel Court. Pivot Rehabilitation provides therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering costs for aging populations. The role involves screening, evaluating, and treating patients, developing treatment plans to support their independence and function, and communicating with patients, families, and care teams. The Occupational Therapist also supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation technicians in patient care activities in accordance with the state practice act.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• Hold a current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice.
• Have good communication skills and relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
• Be capable of performing the job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
• Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
• Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
• Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of independence and/or function.
• Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation technicians in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
