About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or GED required
• Good communicator, with both clients and staff
• High school level reading and writing skills
• Legible handwriting
• Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
• Telephone etiquette and customer service skills
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Good teamwork mentality
• Role model positive qualities when dealing with challenging situations
• Time management and multi-tasking
• Creative problem solving in a fast-paced work environment
• Demonstrate respect and empathy towards clients
• Professionalism and therapeutic boundaries, even under stress
• Ability to work in person, on site
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• CPR & CPI (non-violent crisis intervention) Certifications must be received within the first 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology
• Basic or general knowledge of human growth and development
• Basic or general knowledge of behavior management modalities
• General knowledge of mental illness
• Previous inpatient and/or RTC experience

Responsibilities

• Greeting and orienting new clients
• Crisis de-escalation and intervention
• Assisting clients with completing treatment related activities and daily life tasks
• Ensuring the safety and dignity of the hospital's environment
