About The Position
CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to support the design, installation, and startup of advanced manufacturing equipment. This is a hands-on, senior-level role ideal for engineers with strong mechanical design and troubleshooting expertise in industrial environments.
Requirements
- 7+ years of mechanical equipment design experience in manufacturing environments
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
- Experience with structural FEA analysis
- Proven ability to design, install, and debug complex mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience supporting equipment commissioning and startup
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and machine guarding
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Ability to work independently and develop effective engineering solutions
- Experience managing or coordinating with mechanical and electrical trades
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design of handling and process equipment from concept through deployment
- Support installation, startup, and debugging of manufacturing equipment on-site
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, operations)
- Verify equipment builds against engineering drawings and specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and installation issues in real time
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful equipment delivery and setup
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and machine guarding
