About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma/equivalent or Trade School
• 3 years HVAC experience required
• Proficient with direct digital controls (DDC)
• Journeyman's license for Heating Vent and AC must be attained by the end of the first year of employment
• Valid VA Or NC Drivers license required--in good standing
• Strong understanding of basic mechanics, math and AC/Refrigeration

Nice To Haves

• 1 year post-secondary/vocational training in air conditioning, refrigeration, math, physics, chemistry, and basic mechanics is preferred
• Universal certification preferred
• Previous experience in a commercial or hospital environment preferred but not required
• Prior experience with DDC preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspects, repairs and maintains HVAC systems
• Maintains parts, supplies and equipment
• Follows operational and departmental guidelines
• Meets all regulatory and compliance requirements, e.g. OSHA
• Available to work on-call as required
