Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing in VA
• Significant MDS 3.0 experience needed
• RAC-CT certification required within one year of employment if not certified at the time of hire.
• Must maintain certification as current once certified
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work independently and well under pressure
• Flexibility, detail-oriented, organized
• Ability to multi-task
• Able to make effective decisions and work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the interdisciplinary team for the management of the MDS, Clinical Reimbursement, Care Plan processes, and utilization management processes in accordance with current federal, state, and local requirements and regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that MDS/RAI deadlines and accuracy requirements are met while ensuring that coding most appropriately captures each patient’s acuity and needs for accurate and optimal reimbursement.
• Assist Center Leadership with Quality Improvement efforts, staff education, and regulatory compliance as it relates to the RAI process, Quality care, Reimbursement, and Quality Measures and Quality Reporting requirements.
• Demonstrate and promote a positive, collaborative, and caring team environment.
