About The Position
We are seeking an experienced RN MDS Coordinator to join a skilled nursing team in the Boynton Beach area. This role is suited to an organized, detail-oriented nurse who thrives in long-term care and is passionate about accurate resident assessments, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. The coordinator works with an interdisciplinary team to complete assessments, support care planning, and maintain compliance in a skilled nursing facility.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license required.
- Strong knowledge of RAI, Medicare, and CMS regulations.
- Experience with care planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous MDS Coordinator experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
- RAC-CT certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to develop and update care plans.
- Monitor Medicare and reimbursement documentation requirements.
- Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness activities.
- Educate staff on MDS processes and documentation standards.
