About The Position
The RN MDS Coordinator works in a skilled nursing facility in the West Palm Beach area, coordinating resident assessments and supporting clinical quality and regulatory compliance. This role is suited to an organized, detail-oriented nurse with long-term care and MDS experience who collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license.
- Strong knowledge of RAI, Medicare, and CMS regulations.
- Experience with care planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous MDS Coordinator experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- RAC-CT certification.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, social services, and other departments to develop and update care plans.
- Monitor Medicare and reimbursement documentation requirements.
- Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines and facility policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness activities.
- Educate staff on MDS processes and documentation standards.
