Director of Marketing

MP1 SolutionNaperville, IL
$110,000 - $140,000

About The Position

The Director of Marketing owns the engine that makes that category real in the market. This is not a brand maintenance role. It is a category-creation role with full P&L accountability for marketing: setting strategy, allocating budget, building the demand-generation infrastructure, owning the marketing-to-sales handoff, leading GTM execution across every new product and segment, and equipping the sales team with the positioning, tools, and intelligence to win. The right person will define how the market understands what a CSO is, why MP1 Solutions leads it, and why fragmented compliance programs are no longer acceptable — and they will translate that into measurable pipeline, MQL velocity, and revenue contribution reported directly to the CCO.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in brand, product marketing, or go-to-market leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience building or repositioning a B2B brand, including category-creation or category-redefinition work.
  • Proven track record launching products and services that delivered measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Direct experience building sales enablement programs and partnering closely with sales leadership.
  • Strong P&L mindset — comfortable owning a marketing budget and being held accountable to MQL and revenue targets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Experience leading and developing marketing professionals in a player-coach capacity.
  • Familiarity with EOS/Traction operating framework preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to non-acute healthcare operators (dental, physician practice, long-term care, DSO/MSO).
  • Prior experience in a category-creation effort — authoring category definitions, building proof architecture, and leading market education programs.
  • Direct experience building and scaling a sales enablement function from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI-enabled workflows into marketing operations, with a high appetite to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Healthcare compliance, medical waste, or regulated-industry marketing background.

Responsibilities

  • Own overall P&L accountability for all marketing routes and programs — every dollar spent is accountable to MQL and revenue outcomes.
  • Set strategy and allocate budget across all routes; hold route owners to their MQL commitments with consistent rigor.
  • Manage and develop the marketing team; hold every role accountable to its MQL and revenue number.
  • Report to the CCO weekly on pipeline contribution, MQL velocity, and channel performance.
  • Operate within the company’s EOS framework, including Rock ownership, L10 participation, and quarterly performance management.
  • Own content strategy — brand voice, messaging hierarchy, and content standards across all channels.
  • Drive the MP1 Solutions brand across all market-facing surfaces, owning positioning, visual identity, and brand standards that scale with the business.
  • Build and execute a multi-channel thought leadership program that moves the market from unawareness to demand — across earned media, content, digital, and events.
  • Lead competitive intelligence and market analysis to continuously sharpen MP1’s position, anticipate category entrants, and defend the leadership claim.
  • Own GTM strategy — define go-to-market motion, launch sequencing, and channel activation for all new products and segments.
  • Set the Product Development Roadmap — own product priorities, define the build sequence, and drive roadmap decisions based on market and competitive inputs.
  • Develop launch playbooks covering positioning, pricing narrative, target segmentation, channel strategy, and success metrics.
  • Lead post-launch performance reviews and drive iteration based on pipeline, conversion, and customer feedback data.
  • Lead sales enablement: equip AEs with positioning, competitive intelligence, objection-handling playbooks, and campaign-to-pipeline context.
  • Own the marketing-to-sales handoff process and MQL quality standards — every lead handed to sales meets the bar.
  • Ensure every asset and campaign is built to convert — MQL impact is the quality standard, not output volume.
  • Build vertical-specific playbooks for dental, physician practice, long-term care, and DSO/MSO segments.
  • Own Voice of Customer — gather market, customer, and competitive intelligence to inform messaging, product, and campaign decisions.
  • Partner with sales leadership to diagnose funnel performance and develop enablement assets that address conversion gaps.
  • Translate customer and market intelligence into actionable inputs for brand, product, and GTM strategy.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $110,000 – $140,000 (commensurate with experience) + performance-based bonus tied to brand growth, pipeline generation, and revenue impact
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • Opportunity to build and scale the marketing function , with direct influence on strategy, positioning, and growth outcomes
  • High-visibility role with direct access to executive leadership and cross-functional decision-making
  • A collaborative, results-driven environment with minimal bureaucracy—where your impact on pipeline and revenue is immediate and measurable
