About The Position
Lead Manufacturing Engineer Job Summary: The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement, optimizing CNC and assembly processes, and improving overall production efficiency. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer partners across teams to ensure high-quality output, reduced waste, and scalable manufacturing systems.
Requirements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Expertise in Lean manufacturing principles
- Deep knowledge of CNC machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience in CNC environments required
- Knowledge of ERP systems and process documentation
Nice To Haves
- SolidWorks and CAM familiarity preferred
Responsibilities
- Drive Lean initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, standard work) to improve efficiency
- Optimize job routings, SOPs, and workflows
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams
- Improve CNC machining and assembly processes
- Support engineering change control and BOM accuracy
- Develop SOPs and improve operator workflows
- Enhance throughput and reduce cycle times
- All other duties as assigned by management
