About The Position

Metal Craft, located in Elk River, MN is a precision machining company and we are seeking a Project Manager to lead new customer projects, build detailed project plans, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure requirements, milestones, and financial goals are met. In this role, you’ll be the main point of contact for project requirements, timelines, and deliverables—working closely with engineering, quality, and operations to deliver results that exceed customer expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Project Management or Account Management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Microsoft Office includes Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Customer communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience working within ERP/MRP platforms
  • Listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to think independently
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Customer focused
  • Show initiative in work by being a self-starter, suggesting new ideas for completing a job, giving input as to how to improve the efficiency of a job, and organizing work time to complete jobs in a timely matter.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and deliverables that support needs and company’s ability.
  • Direct and facilitate project development team including engineering, quality, and operations.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables for assigned customer projects.
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements to effectively manage a customer project.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines based on critical projects.
  • Communicate with all customers as to status of project on an ongoing basis.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Monitor project plan to ensure milestones are met while remaining in line to meet profitability.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, documentation, and presentations.
  • Follow up on customer projects and provide feedback to internal teams.
  • Identify and facilitate support of continuous improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing process and company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.
