For example, we have recently implemented 25 next-day hubs in our network to provide immediate, essential services for our customers overnight. Requirements

  • Experience in transportation, consolidation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Desire to surround customer with excellence in service.
  • High aptitude for technology.
  • The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers.
  • Provide leadership and accountability to a team of switchers.
  • Directing the flow of internal and external customer freight as it comes into the yard.
  • Communicating and assigning trailer moves throughout the terminal.
  • Oversee the placement and movement of tractor trailers within the lot while tracking and recovering inventory.
  • Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/ OSHA standards.
  • Ensure company operational model compliance.
  • Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers.
