About The Position
Come join us at St. Patrick's Residence! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1964. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. We are seeking to fill the position of Maintenance Technician II - Part-Time.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of building and preventive maintenance experience required.
- Current State of Illinois Drivers’ License, with proof of clear driving record and current auto insurance.
- Knowledge and interest in working with elders and persons with disabilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all building equipment.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and refinishing work as needed.
- Do mechanical repairs on items such as hospital beds, lifts, stands, wheelchairs, commercial kitchen equipment, and commercial laundry equipment.
- Assist with snow removal using appropriate equipment, including snowplows.
- Maintain equipment as necessary.
