About The Position

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for leading advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics across various systems, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and facility infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems, as well as the ability to perform and document preventative maintenance routines. The technician will also be involved in installing, repairing, and upgrading machinery, developing maintenance procedures, and collaborating with various teams and external vendors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, sensors, and automated systems.
Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills including AC/DC circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Demonstrated ability to lead by example, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
Proficient with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
Forklift and aerial lift certified.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Effective communicator with the ability to document tasks clearly and train others.

Nice To Haves

Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electro-mechanics, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
Mentor and support lower-tier technicians through on-the-job training and technical guidance.
Participate in and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes.
Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Perform and document preventative and predictive maintenance routines with accuracy and efficiency.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
Install, repair, and upgrade machinery and components as part of capital improvement projects or upgrades.
Assist in developing and improving maintenance SOPs and equipment documentation.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety, and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Support facility infrastructure including HVAC, compressed air systems, boilers, and water treatment systems.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and external vendors on repairs, upgrades, and retrofits.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
