About The Position
Schochet is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is at Riverside Towers, a 200-unit apartment community for the elderly. The company emphasizes employee growth and retention, with over 50 years of experience. The position requires a variety of technical skills and involves direct interaction with residents.
Requirements
- Electrical/plumbing/HVAC/appliance repair skills.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Able to work independently and as a team.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Must be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand and/or walk all day.
- Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
- Duties may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor.
- Must live within 30 minutes of Medford, MA.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation for on-call duties.
Responsibilities
- Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
- General daily upkeep of the property.
- Completion of all resident apartment turn over tasks.
- Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
- Complete preventative maintenance activities.
- Available to complete “On-call” duties.
