About The Position

Schochet is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role is at Riverside Towers, a 200-unit apartment community for the elderly. The company emphasizes employee growth and retention, with over 50 years of experience. The position requires a variety of technical skills and involves direct interaction with residents.

Requirements

• Electrical/plumbing/HVAC/appliance repair skills.
• Previous maintenance experience required.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Must be able to lift moderate weights of between 30-60 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand and/or walk all day.
• Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
• Duties may require strength and endurance in performing heavy manual labor.
• Must live within 30 minutes of Medford, MA.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation for on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
• General daily upkeep of the property.
• Completion of all resident apartment turn over tasks.
• Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Available to complete “On-call” duties.
