About The Position

This role is responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems. The technician will be expected to work in various environmental conditions and utilize specialized tools and equipment. Compliance with safety policies and procedures is paramount, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

Requirements

  • Must be able to cover night shift and weekends and be available for call-ins, emergencies, or scheduled overtime
  • Complete Lock Out / Tag Out Training
  • Basic understanding of relay and PLC logic
  • Able to read and understand wiring schematics and diagrams
  • Basic AC or DC motor knowledge, wiring, and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to fabricate using electric arc welder and cutting torch
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics system
  • Have knowledge of all departmental paperwork
  • Ability to operate forklift and scissor lift safely
  • Ability to work in the elements (Heat, Cold) as well as work from elevated platforms
  • Need to have required tools
  • Ability to read ohms, amps, and volts, AC or DC using multimeter
  • Ability to work with high voltage
  • Knowledge of basic relay logic and control wiring of Start/Stop circuit/ limit switches, sensors, contactors, transformers, heaters, etc.
  • Knowledge of drill press, grinder, and band saw
  • Basic troubleshooting knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic equipment such as valves, cylinders, and pumps
  • Basic knowledge of pumps such as vacuum, water booster, and hydraulic
  • Basic knowledge of bearing, shafts, sprockets, pulleys, reduction, and distribution gearboxes, transmissions, etc.
  • Ability to read a depth gauge, calipers, micrometer, and tape measure for basic machining and fabricating
  • MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT UP TO 50 POUNDS. ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED WITH ANYTHING OVER 50 POUNDS -- NO EXCEPTIONS

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of experience, training, or education on any of the above a plus (such as PLC training, Motors and Controls, Pneumatic and Hydraulic, DC theory, etc.)
