About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent plus vocational training in a related technical field
• Proven knowledge and experience in one or more areas (welding, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
• One to two years experience in Industrial Maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems
• Proven proficiency in one or more of the following areas: Welding/Fabrication, HVAC/Refrigeration, Plumbing, Hydraulics and Mechanical Drive Systems
• Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs
• Ability to read and follow simple diagrams and instructions
• Working knowledge of electricity and electrical components
• Manipulation of parts and the use of various tools and repair equipment
• Body positioning such as climbing and crawling under equipment or apparatus to repair, assemble or disassemble equipment
• Tolerances and ability to work under adverse conditions

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs all conveyor, sortation, and related material handling equipment
• Maintains heating, HVAC, simple plumbing and/or other specialized areas
• Ensures proper, safe, and efficient mechanical operations within the distribution center
• Installs new or modifies existing equipment or systems
• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment to include motors, pumps, conveyers, hydraulics, mechanical control systems, power equipment, safety devices, or other specialized equipment
• Examines parts and equipment to troubleshoot and perform repairs on simple plumbing, heating, etc.
• Inspects completed repairs or installations
• Performs special projects or duties as assigned
