Maintenance Mechanic - Hides/Tannery
About The Position
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. General Mechanic positions may involve working in any department of the beef processing facility. The role requires entering work orders into a computer-based system daily and reading manuals as needed to work on assigned equipment. Candidates must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation. Qualifying candidates must take a tour before accepting a job offer. Former Tyson employees are subject to a 180-day waiting period for rehire and may be rehired no more than three times.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of mechanic work experience listed in the application work history, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must take a tour before accepting a job offer.
