About The Position
The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts. The role involves operating multiple machines, running CNC equipment proficiently, and overseeing setups and tool changes for CNC lathes and mills. The work is in a clean, quiet, comfortable environment, including a climate-controlled setting during summer months and a hospital-grade clean room environment. The position is listed for second and third shifts and includes a 15% shift premium.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 2–6 years of machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience, or journeyman machinist status.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints.
- Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances.
- Ability to use basic inspection tools and techniques.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or written instructions.
- Good understanding of shop math.
- Proficient interpersonal relations, organization, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
