CNC Lathe Machinist, 2nd Shift
About The Position
Daniels Manufacturing Corporation is hiring a CNC Lathe Machinist to manufacture precision components with tight diameter and length tolerances. The role uses setup, programming, and troubleshooting expertise to support high-quality production and reliable delivery to customers. The machinist sets up and operates CNC lathes, programs operations, selects tooling, inspects parts, and interprets blueprints and GD&T callouts. This is an on-site, second-shift position in Orlando, Florida, scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Safety glasses and hearing protection are required in designated areas. The posted pay range is $24.50–$46.75 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 to 2 years of CNC lathe experience.
- Working knowledge of G and M code programming.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with live tooling configurations.
- CMM inspection experience.
- Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, including 2-axis and live tooling configurations.
- Program lathe operations using G and M code or conversational controls.
- Manage inserts, boring bars, and tooling selection for optimal results.
- Produce parts to tight diameter and length tolerances.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T callouts to produce parts to print.
