About The Position
AT&F is hiring a CNC Machinist Trainee in Cleveland to learn and work on large, technologically advanced equipment, including horizontal boring mills and lathes using the Siemens Sinumerik One Controller with Digital Twin. The role involves machining large fabrications, including components for submarine-related work, and offers an opportunity to learn from experienced machinists. Medical benefits begin on the first day. The hourly pay range is $25.00–$28.00, with starting pay based on skills, experience, and ability to perform the job.
Requirements
- A minimum of CNC schooling and 1+ years of CNC machining experience is preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprint and drawing specifications and GD&T.
- Applied experience with inspection methods such as hand gauges and CMM.
- Basic computer skills for email and web-based communications.
Nice To Haves
- Overhead crane operation and rigging experience.
Responsibilities
- Review engineering prints and select and acquire appropriate tooling.
- Run large machining centers, either vertical turning lathes (VTL) or horizontal boring mills (HBM).
- Edit and maintain CNC programs.
- Set up and operate machines as needed.
- Implement continuous improvement.
- Inspect and measure machined components.
- Train and develop less experienced AT&F machinists.
