Requirements

High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
Basic shop math, mechanical aptitude, fundamental computer literacy, and willingness to learn, along with the ability to follow written and oral communications.
Ability to stand/walk, and lift over 35 lbs. on a continuous basis; lift/carry, bend/reach on a frequent basis; and lift/carry up to 65 lbs. on an occasional basis.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining equipment: Load raw materials and unload finished parts while following safety rules.
Monitor Production: Watch machine cycles to spot errors, unusual noises, and tool wear.
Inspect for Quality: learn to measure finished parts using tools like gauges, micrometers and calipers and other precision instruments.
Learn Setup & Maintenance: Assist with basic machine adjustments, changing tooling, cleaning metal chips, changing coolant, and routine upkeep.
Learn to troubleshooting of equipment and process issues, perform preventive maintenance.
Learn to Read Blueprints: Study basic technical drawings and work orders to understand part requirement
Maintains a pattern of regular attendance and is able to work overtime and weekends if required
