Huhtamaki, a leading supplier of drinking cups, frozen dessert, and food packaging containers, has immediate openings for General Laborers and Machine Operators in their Production and Warehouse Departments at the Fulton, New York facility. They are growing as a business, opening up new roles and opportunities, and are dedicated to making every consumer experience enjoyable, consistent, and safe.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older at time of hire
Demonstrate proficient computer skills and experience working with automated/computerized machinery

Nice To Haves

High school diploma/GED
National Work Readiness Certificate or BOCES or Vocational Education Training Certificate in related Industrial/Manufacturing Skills
Community college - continuing Education Certificate in related Industrial/Manufacturing/Technical skills
A.A.S. degree in Technical program field of study (electronics, manufacturing, engineering, computer science)
1-3 years of machine operator experience
Industrial experience with skilled trades (millwright, carpenter, electrician, operating engineer, laborer)
Industrial experience within manufacturing factories, power plants, recycling plants, and paper mills
Work experience in warehousing, distribution center, or high tech material handling environment
Work experience in machining, fabrication and assembly, or metal work
Active or discharged from the U.S. Military

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently set up, start up, adjust, and shut down production machines
Maintain production and quality standards
Follow job standard operating procedures and all safety procedures
Work well with other production workers
Follow daily clean-up procedures
Perform cleaning, sweeping, packing, palletizing, painting, and other duties as assigned
