About The Position

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification.
• Complete specialized infection prevention and control training, either before hire or within the first week of hire.
• Complete any additional state-specific training required for the position at the earliest available opportunity.
• Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work scheduled hours based on the requirements of the position or assignment.
• At least two years of RN/LPN experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or other related healthcare facility.

Nice To Haves

• Long-term care experience.
• Experience teaching or training adult learners.
• Prior experience or training in Infection Prevention and Control processes.
• Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs.
• Develop individualized care plans.
• Administer nursing care and evaluate its effectiveness.
• Supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
• Follow applicable standards, guidelines, regulations, health and sanitary policies, infection-control policies, and established nursing practice standards.
