About The Position
Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a creative, purpose-driven Life Enrichment Director to design and lead meaningful programs that enhance residents’ daily lives and support their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being. The role focuses on connection, engagement, and creating meaningful experiences within the community. The director develops and leads a comprehensive life enrichment strategy, supervises and schedules associates, manages department resources, and collaborates with residents, families, and teams across culinary, clinical, and operations. The position promotes person-centered engagement and ensures programs meet state regulations and company standards.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of leadership experience; senior living or healthcare experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to design and implement engaging programming.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of state regulations related to life enrichment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Genuine passion for improving the lives of senior adults.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Recreational Therapy, or a related field preferred.
- Senior living or healthcare leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive life enrichment strategy aligned with residents’ interests and abilities.
- Lead, mentor, and schedule life enrichment associates.
- Plan and facilitate activities, events, outings, and community partnerships.
- Track participation, satisfaction, and engagement outcomes.
- Manage the department budget and resources responsibly.
- Ensure programs comply with state regulations and company standards.
- Partner with families to encourage involvement and connection.
- Promote a person-centered approach to engagement.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
- Collaborate with culinary, clinical, and operations teams.
