About The Position
Hillel Torah, in Skokie, is seeking a warm and energetic school social work intern to serve for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting children, excellent interpersonal skills, and an organized and proactive working style. The School Social Work intern is directly supervised by our School Social Worker and serves as a member of a broader student support team. We are a dynamic and innovative Jewish private school preparing the leaders of tomorrow. Our progressive, child-centered approach promotes academic excellence in both general and religious studies. We encourage our students to develop a life-long commitment to learning and to the global community.
Requirements
- 2nd year social work program working towards a type 73

Responsibilities
- Work closely with students, parents, teachers, and administrators in grades K-8 to problem solve and support students’ social/emotional and behavioral well-being.
- Work 1:1 with students with a range of social/emotional challenges.
- Co-facilitate social skills groups.
- Create and implement student treatment plans
- Write up 2 weekly process recordings and individual case notes
