About The Position
The Gray Media Training Program is a 10-week immersive experience designed to train the next generation of media professionals in roles such as producers, reporters, weather experts, and sales executives. Participants will engage in real-world assignments, create digital content, collaborate with experienced professionals, and build a professional portfolio. The program aims to provide hands-on experience and position interns for potential full-time career opportunities within Gray Media's network.
Requirements
- Current enrollment as a college student (Junior or Senior status preferred).
- Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- A 'doer' mindset with a willingness to take initiative.
- Understanding of digital media platforms.
- Strong work ethic, organization, and a 'can-do' attitude.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
- Commitment to the full 10-week program and a 25-hour weekly schedule.
- Passion for local communities and local media.
- Currently enrolled in a college/university, preferably in your senior year.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Must have a goal to work in broadcast television.
- Earning a degree in Broadcast Journalism/Communications, or related fields, with a desire to get hands-on experience in the local media industry.
Responsibilities

- Track a cold front on weather tech.
- Close a digital ad deal.
- Create content for social media, streaming apps, and web stories.
- Collaborate with seasoned veterans in the media industry.
- Master a chosen specialty and build a professional-grade portfolio.

- Help local businesses grow through innovative media strategies.
