About The Position

This is a 9-week Summer Internship Program starting in June 2027, offering driven students the chance to immerse themselves in the fast-paced world of investments. Interns will gain hands-on experience, receive one-on-one mentorship, and learn about working at a global investment firm. The program includes orientation, networking events, development workshops, and volunteer activities. Successful interns may be eligible for a full-time offer to join the Early Career Program after graduation. The role involves supporting credit analysts in conducting fundamental credit research within the US high yield corporate bond market, gaining exposure to the investment process, and contributing to real research projects. Interns will develop analytical skills to understand businesses, industries, capital structures, and credit risk.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and be a rising Junior graduating by summer of 2028
  • Minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • All majors are welcomed with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business-related field
  • A demonstrated interest in financial markets & investments
  • Familiarity with Excel and financial statement analysis
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Must be able to work in Atlanta
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program. Invesco will not provide any assistance or sign any documentation in support of any other form of immigration sponsorship or benefit including optional practical training (OPT) or curricular practical training (CPT).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with creative problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Experience with prioritizing work and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Prior internship in investment management is preferred but not required
  • Experience gathering and interpreting market data

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in conducting fundamental credit research
  • Build and maintain financial models and credit monitoring tools
  • Research potential investment opportunities and present findings to the team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned tasks and initiatives
  • Attend team meetings and complete assigned projects within established timelines
  • Prepare presentations, summaries, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Seek feedback and guidance from mentors and team members to support learning and growth
  • Participate in training sessions and networking opportunities to further develop your technical and professional skills
  • Join regular team meetings to understand our top-down macro investment process and performance metrics. Includes portfolio manager, client portfolio manager, risk, and research teams
