About The Position

Bridor USA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic – Refrigeration to support our Salt Lake City manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the plant’s refrigeration and utility systems while also supporting preventive maintenance and repair activities throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on industrial maintenance experience along with experience operating and troubleshooting refrigeration systems. This role is critical to maintaining safe, reliable equipment and supporting the consistent production of high-quality food products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum Ammonia Blue Seal certification required; Ammonia Red Seal certification is also acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance or mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating and troubleshooting refrigeration systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with GMP requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to assist other team members as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Food manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform documented inspections and operational checks of refrigeration systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment and address identified issues.
  • Troubleshoot refrigeration system problems, determine root causes, and perform necessary repairs or corrective actions.
  • Monitor equipment performance and help maintain safe and reliable plant utility operations.
  • Accurately document maintenance and repair activities.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Fabricate or modify parts, structures, and equipment using maintenance shop tools.
  • Assist with plumbing, electrical, painting, and other facility maintenance needs.
  • Support the continued development and improvement of the plant’s energy and utility systems.
  • Assist with training and providing guidance to new employees.
  • Work closely with Production, Quality, and other departments to minimize downtime and maintain safe operations.
  • Perform maintenance activities in accordance with food safety and quality requirements.
  • Follow GMPs and applicable plant procedures.
  • Notify the Quality Assurance team of any conditions or deviations that could affect product quality or food safety.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, and other federal and state requirements.
