About The Position

Haven Home Care is actively hiring Home Health Aides in Stark and Summit County, Ohio. The company offers multiple pathways to employment, accommodating individuals with an STNA license (active or expired), an HHA certificate (30+ hours), those with 1+ year of supervised experience under an RN or LPN, and even those brand new to caregiving through a free 32-hour online training program. The role involves providing daily living assistance to clients, primarily older adults, in their homes. Tasks include help with bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. This is a physically demanding job requiring caregivers to be on their feet and assist with client movement. The company emphasizes client-caregiver matching based on preferences, offers a structured pay raise system, and various bonuses. It is a W-2 position with flexible hours, requiring at least 20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid Driver's license.
  • Own a car with insurance that covers work driving.
  • Pass background checks.
  • Commit to working at least 20 hours per week.
  • Be available between 6 AM and 8 PM (most work is 8 AM-5 PM).
  • Have the legal right to work in the US.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • For STNA path: Hold an active or expired STNA license.
  • For HHA certificate path: Possess an HHA certificate (30+ hours, signed by RN unless completed online).
  • For Experience path: Have 1+ year of experience at one company where your supervisor was an RN or LPN (e.g., nursing homes, hospitals, skilled home health agencies, assisted living with licensed nurses).
  • Pass a competency test (written and skills, 80% on both) at the Cuyahoga Falls office, unless STNA licensed or previously passed an HHA test with 80% or higher.
  • For Free Training path: Complete a free 32-hour online HHA training course within 6 days.

  • Be open to working in both Stark and Summit counties for faster client matching and more hours.
  • Ability to refer private pay clients or other Home Health Aides for bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Go to people's homes and help with daily life, primarily older adults.
  • Assist clients with baths, getting dressed, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship.
  • Help people move around and be on your feet most of the day.
  • Follow company policies and accept clients that match your specified limits.
  • Report incidents within 24 hours.
  • Be on time for shifts and clock in and out using the app or phone.
  • Follow call-off procedures if unable to make a shift.
  • Answer office calls and texts quickly.
  • Send updated documents (insurance, license, training) when requested.
  • Complete feedback forms when sent.
