About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver Patrol Role in Catonsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so you may use a company vehicle to patrol assigned areas while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, report suspicious activity, and assist with access control and other security-related duties across the location.
