  • Demonstrated success coaching suppliers to build robust quality systems, improve process capability, and institutionalize layered process audits and error-proofing.
  • Strong data analytics skills (e.g., Excel, statistical tools, visualization) to identify patterns, prioritize issues, and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Experience working in global, multi-cultural environments, with the ability to adapt communication and leadership style across regions and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead APQP with assigned suppliers to meet or exceed program timing and quality targets, ensuring manufacturing readiness at key milestones.
  • Review and approve supplier quality deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, MSA, and capability studies, ensuring alignment to GM standards and customer requirements.
  • Execute and approve PPAP and Run@Rate submissions, confirming process capacity, stability, and robust control of key characteristics prior to production release.
  • Monitor supplier performance using key quality metrics (PPM, PRR/SPPS, warranty, launch issues) and drive continuous improvement through structured action plans and workshops.
  • Lead structured problem solving (e.g., Red X, 7 Diamonds, 8D/SPPS) for supplier-related issues, from fast containment through root cause analysis and robust long-term corrective actions.
  • Conduct on-site supplier assessments and process reviews to verify manufacturing process capability, quality system effectiveness, and compliance with IATF 16949 and GM requirements
  • Partner cross-functionally with Design Release Engineering, Manufacturing, Plant Quality, Purchasing, and Launch teams to ensure alignment on design changes, risk mitigation, and launch readiness.
