About The Position

Requirements

• 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 51 pounds unassisted.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work in a dusty environment, perform repetitive motions, and work in any weather.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Dependability.
• Ability to pass a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load wastes in accordance with company rules and regulations.
• Offload and check in inbound waste streams.
• Load, unload, and sample solid waste safely in accordance with company and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
• Check manifested waste types and quantities against the containers received and report inconsistencies.
• Operate heavy machinery in confined areas.
• Operate a fork truck with attachments.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance and inspections on operating equipment.
• Perform basic operator maintenance.
• Perform basic spill cleanup and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Keep work areas, walls, pit drain, and floor clean and safe.
• Use required personal protective equipment, including boots, gloves, eye and ear protection, and reflective clothing.
• Shovel, sweep, and clean assigned areas periodically throughout the day.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Complete required monthly safety training courses.
• Perform other duties as requested.
