About The Position

Imperial Trading is hiring Warehouse Forklift Operators at its Harahan, Louisiana warehouse. Operators use forklifts or reach trucks, depending on their assigned shift, to store products, replenish picking locations, and support accurate customer order fulfillment. Employees can generally expect a 40-hour workweek; shift end times vary based on workload.

First shift runs Monday through Friday, beginning at 4:00 a.m. and continuing until work is complete, using forklifts and reach trucks. Second shift runs Sunday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and Monday through Thursday beginning at 12:00 p.m., each until work is complete; second shift uses reach trucks only. Daily incentive and bonus opportunities are available on eligible shifts.

Eligible full-time employees may participate in company benefit plans, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements. The work involves sitting, standing, reaching, handling products, and operating warehouse equipment. Employees regularly lift 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate the equipment assigned to the shift and meet company equipment training and qualification requirements.
• Ability to follow warehouse location instructions and accurately record product movements.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Regular, reliable attendance for the assigned shift.
• Ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned forklifts or reach trucks to move and stage products safely.
• Put received products into assigned warehouse storage locations.
• Replenish picking locations so products are available for order selection.
• Use a handheld scanner (scan gun) to accurately record put-away, replenishment, and other inventory movements.
• Move products manually when needed.
• Protect nearby employees, products, and warehouse property while completing assigned work.
